Where the Worlds Touch: A Ritual of Re-Membering
“Aerial” Fabrics & Expressive Arts Retreat
Murmurations Aerial and Expressive Arts Burlington invite you to retreat with them into a topography of multi-sensory exploration. Through dance, poetry and art-making, we’ll explore where Shadow meets Light, Stillness meets Movement, and Dream meets Waking World.
Visual art will be our container to hold the experiences of multimodal expression. The aerial hammocks and fabrics will cradle, wrap and swing us to re-member and soothe. We will co-create ritual, dance, song, and story.
We will start the evening of September 30th with a sensory-infused art & movement ritual beside Lake Champlain. The next morning, we will reconvene and spend the day in aesthetic expression moving between the studios and between the worlds. We will play with the visual arts, the sensory embrace of fabrics through movement, and rejoice in creative communion with one another. Please join us for a weekend of renewal, engaging our imaginations and creativity in sacred play.
All levels of movement and art experience are encouraged to attend. No great physical strength, climbing ability or artistic experience required.
Limited scholarships available. Contact email@example.com for more information.
